The Moffitt Cancer Center is a rapidly expanding, NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center that includes state of the art core facilities to support basic research. Moffitt Cancer Center is located within the coastal community of Tampa Bay and is adjacent to the University of South Florida School of Medicine.
Center for Immunization and Infection Research in Cancer
The Center for Immunization and Infection Research in Cancer (CIIRC) was established in 2012 and has become the premier vaccine and infection cancer research center in the US. The CIIRC brings together experts in epidemiology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, molecular oncology, mathematicians, and immunology to accelerate the development and dissemination of vaccines to prevent and treat cancer, and to improve the diagnosis and treatment of infection-related cancers.

Moffitt has an exceptional setup for X-ray crystallography. Resources within the Chemical Biology Core expedite our structural studies and allow us to take a project from start-to-finish with our in-house setup. We also have regular access to APS beamline #
Crystallization room (controlled temperature and humidity) and crystallization robot (Thermo Hydra II). In-house Cu rotating anode X-ray source equipped with a rigaku CCD Saturn 944+ and an R-AXIS IV imaging plate detector. |
